I saw this splendid bovine specimen today. Would you call it a cow?

On close inspection, "bull" might be more appropriate..

I don’t know.. maybe take a bite?

The breed is charolais, and it’s a bull, hence the boy parts. I have friends in eastern Montana who ranch charolais. They might even be a French breed.

No utter and no balls that I can see. That would be a steer.

Charolais bulls have a pretty healthy set of cajones on them. That looks to be a steer to me.

Not obvious in the picture but definitely still has all of his bull apparatus.
Otherwise we’d call him a bullock.

Yeah I think you are right I would never recommend taking a bull to a public event. Those boys tend to have a mind of their own.

Ce he sin informed me the boys, are in fact, still present. Yeah, having a bull out and about seems a bit risky. Maybe those Irish bulls are a bit more tame.

I stand corrected. I’ve interacted with a few free ranging bulls, and they’ve always acted like they wanted to kill me. Glad this guy seems pretty chill.

If you were being led around by a ring through your nose, you’d behave too!
Never trust a bull however docile they may seem to be.

First breed that came to mind when I saw the pic...glad to find I wasn't alone.

My standard is to call them all cows, but then clarify that it’s probably a bull or steer or something.
